I have owned silverado's, with the v-8 gas motors and there tranny has never failed me once... Chevy has a completely boxed frame. My last HD silverado did not, and the frame was still very strong. But even if the ford started a fraction later, it wouldn't get pulled that fast if it had close to the same power. but they did supposedly amp up that F150 engine for 2009 and improve its efficiency so it could be more interestin.
