UAZ-469B had geared hubs 12 years before HUMMER.Tigr designed by GAZ that make APC's for over 45 years. If you know anything about miliary - even by looking at Tigr you can tell that it has stronger components then HUMMER(I own one).

Feb 2, 2008 - I do think that this is just a modified hummer. I think that it is a very capable vehicl and has been modified to serve a certain purpose. I agrre that Russians have been building good military vehicles for a long time now. I only wonder what the undercarriage is like. Todays urban battlefield poses many threats that have never been encountered before. IED's are a big threat today.
